Multi Mechanical Interface Cementing
Primary cementing is a critical step in the well construction process and to qualify a well as adequately cemented, it must have a continuous and impermeable hydraulic seal within the annulus – zonal isolation must be realised. To achieve this, cement must be efficiently placed in order to prevent contamination with fluids, such as mud or spacers, within the placement process.
DeltaTek’s CureCatcher® float shoe or collar enables multiple mechanical interfaces for the cement job by utilising foam wiper balls, allowing operators and drilling contractors to reduce the potential for contamination between spacers, slurries and displacement fluids, thereby improving operational reliability and enhancing the overall quality of the cement job.

Multi mechanical interface cementing with CureCatcher®
DeltaTek’s CureCatcher® float shoe or collar enables multiple mechanical interfaces for the cement job by utilising foam wiper balls which are launched into the inner string ahead of the leading spacer and/or cement slurry.
CureCatcher® has a built-in integral void, located beneath the lockdown wiper plug receptacle. This void is a retention chamber designed to capture multiple mechanical fluid interfaces for the cement job.
The void enables fluid bypass around the mechanical interfaces once they have entered, in order to complete the cement job, prior to the ultimate mechanical interface (the bi-directionally sealing lockdown wiper plug) landing and locking in the upper receptacle.
