I joined DeltaTek in January 2019, as a contractor.

I joined the oilfield in 1977 in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, working for Dowell Schlumberger as it was known then. I continued to worked for Schlumberger in the UAE, Egypt and Saudi Arabia, then back to Trinidad before moving to the UK in 1995. I left Schlumberger in 2010 and came back as a contractor. I continued to work for Schlumberger until 2015. In 2017 I started to work for Halliburton again as a contractor until 2019 when I joined DeltaTek.
What does your job entail?
Preparing the tools for the job before they are shipped offshore. Working on the casing and drill pipe tally prior to running the tools in the hole. Getting the tools packed and secured in the basket for shipment back to base. Then redressing the tools for the next job offshore.
Has there been any highlights since joining DeltaTek? What do you enjoy about working here?
The highlight since joining DeltaTek is learning the technology and the simplicity of the tools and knowing that the technology works. I enjoy working for DeltaTek as it feels like a family and the DeltaTek Team are always there to help when it is required.
Is there anything that you’ve learned about the tools, technology or company that has surprised you?
Yes, the technology and the simplicity of the tools and the feeling of family.
